Schedule and order a kit - ours is the cheapest on campus. You do NOT want to miss out on it! It’s an amazing kick-start to your university career, and it’s where you’ll meet your best friends, lab partners, and classmates. Not to mention you’ll have a lot of fun, and get a feel for how amazing it is to be studying in the nation’s capital!
Seriously. You won’t regret it.

What is 101 Week?
Alright, so you've asked the obvious question. If you haven't already figured it out, 101 Week is the weeklong period from Sunday, September 5th to Saturday September 11th geared towards new students just like you. It's full of fun activities intended to acquaint you with life at university, and to help you meet friends, classmates, and everyone in between.
Overall, 101 Week is organized by both the university and the SFUO, the Student Federation of the University of Ottawa. In addition, student associations from each faculty organize their own set of events for the week in order to tailor the experience to their incoming students. We, the SSA (Science Students' Association), have prepared for you an amazing week of incredible events that we hope you will enjoy to the fullest. Every year, we pick a theme for the week just to keep it interesting. This year, it's Super Heroes VS Super Villains!
In order to take part in the week's events, you have to purchase a kit. Head over to the kit orders page to find out how. The kit gets you access to the week's events, food, and transportation to and from the events. A tentative schedule is posted here, so you can check out the fun to be had throughout the week. Who are we?
Well, to be brief, we are the Science Students’ Association. The SSA. We’re the people who are here for you. If you have a question, ask us! If you have a concern, let us know!If you want to get involved in student life, we’ll tell you how! And if you left your lab coat and goggles at home, stop by the office and borrow one of each! No matter what it is, you can ask us. If we don’t know the answer, we’ll give you the name of someone who does. Don’t worry, we got your back.
So because we’re here for all you Science students, we’ve got this handy little website that you can check in on every now and then. To make things easy, we’ve organized the information that’s probably of most concern to you right now and put it on this page. We spend the entire summer organizing 101 Week, so we want you to make the most of it!
