Backpack to Briefcase
The 2nd, 3rd and 4th year Mentoring Centre and the SSA is hosting the 2nd "Backpack to Briefcase" evening - an event to help upper-year science students discover just what they can do with their degree upon graduation. This semester's version will be tailored towards students in: Biochemistry, Biopharm, Biomed, physics, math, and chemistry. As before, the event will take place as a "speed dating" networking session with graduate students, professors, and industry leaders. If you still haven't found a summer job and/or honours project, this is your chance!
To register for the event, go to www.sass.uottawa.ca/mentorship/register. Signing up will get you a personalized business card to hand out to employers and professors during the event. For more information, check out the link above or stop by the 2nd, 3rd and 4th year Mentoring Centre in Marion (across from the Math Help Centre) or the SSA office (Marion 015). You MUST register in advance in order to attend. The event will begin at 5:30 pm in Tabaret room 112.
Good luck and hope you enjoy the evening!
