SSA Member of the Week

Maya Zonneveld - Webmaster

Thank you to Maya for all of her hard work! She is truly an invaluable member of the SSA team. From responding in a timely manner and maintaining the stunning website to starring on the A.S.S. Intramural Frisbee Team, Maya shows a certain level of commitment to the SSA that goes beyond expectations and shows an excellent example for her peers. Maya was previously Biotechnology Representative and a First Year Representative, clearly showing her dedication to the RSG.

Maya’s talents go further than just SSA. She was on the Canadian National Team for Artistic Gymnastics for five years and continues to pursue her passion for gymnastics through the uOttawa Gymnastics Club, judging, and coaching. She is a highly decorated athlete, with some accomplishments including being the 2020 National All-Around Champion at age 14 and winning team bronze at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Also, she currently holds the role of Co-President of the Asian Canadians’ Association of Ottawa. In her free time, Maya enjoys spending time with friends, crashing out, and daydreaming about SSA.
